This refers to the continuous efforts of Cathay Pacific/Dragonair (CX/KA) to control their yield in Married Segments/ Origin & Destination.
CX/KA will be implementing O&D Violation System Check globally with immediate effect.
CX/KA will cancel bookings that have been separated / unbundled (agents change class/cancel) from an initial bundled sell, whether married or not.
They are strongly advised not to abuse CX/KA’s O&D Violation Policy.
Please be advised that Emirates will recharge the monthly “GDS Recoverable Wastage Costs”
to all travel agencies. This charge is to recover the fees paid for the unproductive segments from the GDS.

KA ET Revalidation (17Feb09)
With immediate effect Dragon air (KA) will follow the same ET Revalidation practice as Cathay Pacific (CX).
Step 1. Report ticket number again by manual entry.

Step 2. 3OSI KA ET
Step 3. ER (End Transaction)
SQ ETR display (7Jan09)
SQ allow only the issuing agent to display SQ ETR. If an non-issuing agent, they will then check if the ET was issued by the same GDS requesting for the display. If the GDS code is from Travelport i.e. 1G/1V/1P, they will allow the agent to display the ET even if the IATA number does not match that of the issuing agent.
Travelport will then perform the authorization checks, as is done currently, to ensure that only authorized agents are able to view the ET.
In essence, this will not change current work processes or existing bridge and branch/selective agreements in place and will allow our Helpdesks teams to maintain their capability to display ETRs of agents. However, this change will impact migrated agents from one GDS to another GDS in that only the issuing agent will be allowed to display the ET i.e. migrated agents’ branch offices/agencies will no longer be able to display the ETs issued by another branch/agency.
This change will be implemented on 7 January 09.
