CHICAGO, IL – 1 December 2025 – United Airlines and Travelport today announced a strategic collaboration designed to reshape the traditional airline‑distributor relationship and accelerate the delivery of next‑generation retailing capabilities to travel agencies and corporate buyers.
The partnership establishes a co‑development framework in which teams from both companies will work closely to advance United’s New Distribution Capability (NDC) roadmap and create new, sophisticated merchandising tools for agency channels. As part of the agreement, Travelport will gain early access to United’s retailing technology plans, enabling the rapid integration of advanced NDC features into Travelport’s multi‑source content ecosystem.
The collaboration aims to ensure that travel counselors using Travelport platforms can access United’s most competitive offers, bundled products, and dynamic pricing with greater speed and usability. Both companies described the move as a shift from a transactional distributor model toward an innovation‑driven partnership focused on elevating the modern retail experience for agencies and their customers.
