LANGLEY, UK — December 17, 2024 — Travelport and Cathay Pacific have renewed their multi-source content distribution agreement, with plans to integrate the Hong Kong-based carrier’s New Distribution Capability (NDC) content into Travelport’s retailing platform, Travelport+, in the coming months.
The extended partnership ensures that agencies using Travelport+ will continue to have seamless access to Cathay Pacific’s full range of traditional and modern content, with NDC integration set to enrich retailing through more dynamic and personalized offers. Agents will be able to shop and compare NDC and non-NDC fares in a unified view, supported by full servicing capabilities once the NDC content goes live.
Kinto Chan, General Manager of Sales and Distribution at Cathay Pacific, said: “The strong relationship we’ve built with Travelport over the years enables us to offer diverse, customized products while maintaining excellent reliability. This renewed agreement will help our partners access an even more comprehensive range of Cathay products, including unique NDC-sourced offers tailored to travelers’ needs.”
Damian Hickey, Global Head of Air Partners at Travelport, added: “This agreement reflects our commitment to a modern, effortless retailing experience. With access to Cathay Pacific’s dynamic fares and soon NDC content, agents can effortlessly view, compare, and select the best options for their customers.”
Travelport+, which serves thousands of agencies across 178 countries, is positioned as the only modern retailing platform built specifically for travel agencies, supporting multi-source content distribution via APIs, Smartpoint Cloud, and desktop solutions. The renewal strengthens Travelport’s portfolio in the Asia-Pacific region as NDC adoption accelerates globally.
