Travelport and EGYPTAIR Expands Partnership with NDC and EDIFACT Content Access
30 July 2026 – New multi-source content agreement gives Travelport-connected agencies access to EGYPTAIR fares and ancillaries through both traditional EDIFACT and modern NDC channels LONDON, UK, 30 JULY, 2026 – Travelport, the intelligent travel technology platform powering millions of bookings worldwide, and EGYPTAIR, Egypt’s national airline with more than 94 years of aviation expertise, have entered into a long-term distribution agreement. The deal covers both traditional EDIFACT and modern NDC channels, ensuring Travelport-connected travel agencies continue to access EGYPTAIR fares while gaining richer NDC content and ancillary services.
Expanded Access to EGYPTAIR Fares and Ancillaries via Dual Channels
Under the new agreement, agencies linked to Travelport retain reliable access to EGYPTAIR’s full content inventory through established EDIFACT distribution. At the same time, they gain progressive access to NDC-enabled offers as they become available. This dual-source approach delivers a broader selection of fares, branded products, and ancillary services directly from EGYPTAIR.
Seamless Booking Experience Across Smartpoint and TripServices
EGYPTAIR content is available through both Travelport Smartpoint, the industry-leading booking application, and TripServices, Travelport’s cloud-native API platform. Agencies benefit from normalized, curated multi-source content, intelligent search and orchestration, and consistent post-booking servicing — all delivered from a single, unified platform.
EGYPTAIR Strengthens Global Reach Through Travelport Network
“We are pleased to extend our long-standing relationship with Travelport through this new agreement,” said Amr Adawy, VP Commercial at EGYPTAIR. “Adding NDC content alongside our existing EDIFACT distribution enables us to offer Travelport’s global agency network a wider range of products while continuing to support traditional distribution channels.”
Travelport Supports Airlines’ Evolving Distribution Strategies
“This agreement reflects the ongoing evolution of airline content distribution, and we are proud to support EGYPTAIR through it,” said Damian Hickey, Global Head of Travel Partners at Travelport. “By combining EDIFACT reliability with NDC richness in one agreement, agencies connected to Travelport+ receive the best of both worlds — proven distribution stability plus enhanced content and ancillaries. We look forward to continuing our partnership as EGYPTAIR’s distribution strategy advances.”
